The S409 Thermal Mass Flow Direction Switch is an insertion-type device designed to detect and indicate the direction of gas flow, making it ideal for compressed air and non-corrosive gases. Utilizing the calorimetric (thermal mass) principle, it features a robust stainless steel sensor with no moving parts, ensuring durability and maintenance-free operation. The S409 can be easily installed under pressure via a 1/2” G-type ball valve without halting system operation. It provides accurate and rapid detection (<0.1m/s sensitivity) and outputs flow direction through two relay switches, enabling automated flow monitoring and control in industrial applications
