Akshaya Patra Foundation

The Akshaya Patra Foundation is an NGO in India that is the world’s largest (not-for-profit run) Mid-Day Meal Programme serving nutritious food to over 2 million children every school day from 19,039 schools across 14 states & 2 Union territory of India.
The organization aims to end classroom hunger by introducing the Mid Meal Program in Government schools and government-aided schools. Alongside, Akshaya Patra also strives to combat malnutrition and supports the right to education of socio-economically disadvantaged children.

Sanskar Pratisthan

Sanskar Pratisthan – Formed in June 1984, Sanskar Pratisthan is a Residential School for Mentally Challenged Children and Agricultural project for Mentally Challenged Adults that was opened by like-minded people who came together for this noble cause. They aim to educate these students in order to make them become self-independent. This way they can do their daily work by themselves and generate interest in small activities that can keep them happy and occupied.

Vipassana International Academy

One of the world’s largest vipassana meditation centers, the Dhamma Giri Vipassana International Academy is co-located with the Vipassana Research Institute at Igatpuri in Maharashtra. The center offers courses related to Vipassana, a process of self-purification by self-observation that can be freely practiced by anyone without any conflict of race, community or religion. It offered its first course in 1976. Now, every year, tens of thousands of students study here.

Vipassana Research Institute

Established in 1985, Vipassana Research Institute (VRI) is a non-profit organisation having the principal aim of conducting scientific research into the sources and applications of the Vipassana Meditation Technique. VRI is located adjacent to the Vipassana International Academy, known as the Dhamma Giri in Igatpuri, Maharashtra.
